Level 1 Coaching Qualification

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know how to go about getting a Level 1 Coaching Qualification in Australia for aikido/martial arts?

Re: Level 1 Coaching Qualification

Hi
You can contact your states http://www.dsr.wa.gov.au/ sporting body, or you can go through the MAIA (Martial Arts Industry Association) http://www.maia.com.au/ who will charge you 4 times the cost. There are also other ways, such as the international college of kenshusei http://www.kenshusei.com.au/ but this is like a uni degree for martial artists & will probably cost you a whole lot of money.

Hope that helps

Re: Level 1 Coaching Qualification

I think you're restricted to doing the one offered by the MAIA. Otherwise, you could try the AIS and do the ANTA or NCAS accredited course.

Check with your local state government Dept of Sport Rec.
