Albo Kali/Silat Seminars with Apohan Tuhan Hasting Albo - Mar 15, 2008

Two four hour seminars introducing aspects of this rarely seen Filipino Martial Art.

Morning session covers stick and knife basics.

Afternoon session covers knife and empty hand techniques, focusing on high and low level attacks, balance disruptions, takedowns and finishing techniques.

Come join the seminar, sponsored by USA Martial Arts Training Center.

First Seminar:
9 am thru 1 pm Saturday, March 15, 2008

Second Seminar:
2 pm thru 6 pm Saturday, March 15, 2008

Location:
USA Martial Arts Training Center
543 E. Main Street
Bridgeport, WV 26330

$40.00 fee (preregistration) for each session or both sessions for $60.00. Late registration $60.00 per session or $85.00 for both sessions. All fees payable to Hasting Albo.

Limited to 16 students per session, on a first come, first serve basis.

IMHO, coming from an FMA background, I highly recommend cross training in these arts. I find the combination both supplemental and complemental.

Thanks Lynn,

I train with Holloway, but this is the first seminar with Albo. It should be fun and interesting.

I do agree that it is supplemental and complementary. But, it also gives a view into the world of break/kill rather than the "harmony" of aikido.

I trained with the late Ted Lucaylucay FMA/JKD 30 years ago in So Cal.

Danny Inosanto shows up locally twice a year.

Been at it less than 2 years. Well, it'll be 2 years in June. I don't get that smell very often. Working on it, though.

It's with sadness that I have to report the cancellation of this seminar. Hasting Albo was in an automobile accident and because of injuries suffered, he passed away last night.
