Pat Hendricks Sensei Seminar in Yellow Springs, OH

Hey Folks,

Just wanted to take a moment and encourage everyone and anyone to consider attending Pat Sensei's seminar. The venue is great, the instruction is priceless, the fellowship unbeatable, and the price is certainly right.

Here's a link to the Yellow Springs Aikido website with all the relevant seminar info:

http://www.ysaohio.com/seminars.htm

Hope to see as many there as possible!

regards
Paul Clark

Oops, forgot to note the dates and save the trouble of going to the website. Seminar is Saturday and Sunday, 7-8 Feb. The last session Sunda ends at 2:30 p.m. to give plenty of time for folks to get home.

If any of you haven't attended one of Hendricks Sensei's seminars, you really need to give it a shot.

It's amazing to see someone of her very petite size toss a big, muscular uke from a strong static position.

Best regards,

Greg Jennings

I also plan on attending. I attended one of Hendricks' Senseis weapons sessions at the Aiki Expo 2 years ago. I don't train in Iwama style, so was not familiar with the specific ken and jo forms. She took the time to give me a little personal instruction and was complementary at the same time. I was impressed and ended up attending a couple of her other sessions that year and at this years expo.

Her teaching skills are exceptional and her technical skill is impressive.

Finally, I have attended McVey Sensei's dojo in Yellow Springs as a guest. I found his dojo to provide a welcoming, friendly, and challenging place to train. How a school treats someone from outside their own "style" says a lot about the quality of the school. Great place to go to a seminar.

Hope to see many new people there!

Jim

Hi Paul,

Is there a designated bukiwaza session?

Best,

Greg,

There are two bukiwaza sessions, actually. McVey Sensei changed up this year, and bukiwaza will be in the morning session each day and taijutsu in the afternoon each day. I think the idea is that folks will be less tired for the afternoon session with doing buki first.
