Sébastien Heurteau, 7 years at the Aikikai Hombu Dojo

I met Sébastien Heurteau at the All Japan Embukai last year. He was there as a spectator but also as the uke for Yukimitsu Kobayashi Sensei from the Hombu Dojo. We very quickly became friends and I got very interested in his practice.

Sébastien Heurteau has spent a total of 7 years training daily at the Aikikai Hombu Dojo. He was a very close student of masters including Masatoshi Yasuno Shihan and Yukimitsu Kobayashi Shihan but also attended classes from all other teachers. He decided not very long ago to move back to Japan with his wife Hitomi and I proposed to him to make a little souvenir in the form of a video of his practice. We shot this video on a Sunday morning in Shinjuku with Sébastien, Hitomi, Olivier and myself in order to keep a little something of him on tape. enjoy the flow and maturity of his technique! Sébastien and I also sat down on evening for a long discussion about his 7 years spent training at the Hombu Dojo and I will publish the transcript very shortly in French and English.
Sébastien Heurteau in action. Uke: Hitomi Heurteau, Guillaume Erard and Olivier.
Below is a video of Yukimitsu Kobayashi Shihan demonstrating Aikido at the All Japan Embukai over several years. His uke is Sébastien Heurteau. The video was put together by one of Sébastien's friend.
