Aikido instructor in Kentucky, LE Combs?

Hello Folks,

Long shot I know, but I'm wondering if anyone from the aikido world in Kentucky may recall Lloyd Eugene Combs. He would have moved to Kentucky in the late 1960's and I've been told by some of his former students he opened a school there. Combs was a Yoshinkai Aikido instructor originally by also had ties to Tohei Sensei from the Ki Society while in Japan. He'd most likely be in his 80's now if still alive.

Any information would be great. I've tried searching the interent with various search queries and have gotten nothing.

Thanks and happy new year to one and all.

Steven

Hi Steven. Have you contacted Stan Pranin about this? I believe Stan trained in California with some of Combs' guys "way back when". Maybe he knows something...

Hi Clark,

Stan's first aikido teacher was a student of Mr. Combs by the name of Virgl Crank, who I've spoken to. Neither he, Stan or I have been able to find any information on Mr. Combs.

Thanks for the reply though ...
