Top 10 Reasons Why You Want to Wear a Ha
Hello guys,
David Letterman does it every day, so why don't we do it the "Aikido way" (kind of redundant, I guess)? Let us try to complete a Top 10 List:
"Top 10 Reasons Why You Want To Wear a Hakama"
10.- They're the coolest thing in Aikido, besides the pony tail.
9.- Ripped your dogi pants in the last ukemi you took.
8.- You always thought you looked real good in a dress.
7.- You wanted to know what if felt like to trip and fall on your own pants in front of an audience.

Because it makes a good parachute for overly-enthusiastic ukemi practice.

Re: Top 10 Reasons Why You Want to Wear a Ha
"chics dig it"
i think im missing something.
i think its a thing thats been implanted in my brain by our society, like a long time ago guys wore tight short shorts and their legs were always really exposed, (so people were used to seeing that) but nowadays guys wear long baggy clothes (so im not used to seeing that much of a guy), and then in the dojo when a guys huge hakama flys up, im not diggin it! (cause i dont wanna see that much !!!!!)
i think its kinda grody!

Re: Top 10 Reasons Why You Want to Wear a Ha
Because the extra layers of fabric make suwariwaza hurt a little less and help to keep my knees from sticking to the mats, especially when gi pants are soaked with sweat that was ... caused by heat buildup from all the extra fabric ...

* That Ginger-Rogers way that it flies out when doing any kind of tenkan turn.
* The way it makes your fall look all flashy
*Winter toe warmer
*The way a new hak will mark up any of your partners so you know who've you trained with
