Are you knew there Aikido in IRAQ?

This is a short cut of history of Aikido in Iraq..

1983 The practicing of Aikido started in Baghdad with (Dr. Dhafer Abdulqader) after his return from USA. He learned Aikido there under (Saotomi sensei).

1990 (Atif Amin sensei) started to instruct Aikido in Baghdad. He learned Aikido in Yugoslavia under (Velibor Vesovic sensei).

1994 (Atif Amin sensei) left Iraq after he made good base and students in Baghdad. He living now in Jordan.

1998 Opening (Maysan Dojo) in Al Amarah city south of Iraq, by (Zahir A. Hamad).

1999 Opening (Samurai Center) in Baghdad, by (Muhannad / Wissam / Zahir).

2000 For the first time, Iraqi team participate in Aikido seminar out of Iraq. That seminar was in Amman-Jordan with (Giorgio Veneri sensei).

2000 (Muhannad S. Al-Kaabe) got the first black belt in Iraq, Shodan Aikikai.

2005 Founding I.A.O. (Iraqi Aikido Organization), by (Wissam J. Faraj).

wow. Wissam I never new that there was Aikido in Iraq, can you tell me where??? am going back home soon and I was wendering if I can visit can you please tell me..
