I just received word that John Czarnuszewicz sensei, 5th dan shidoin of the University of Bristol Aikido Club, passed away on April 29th, 2003. He became seriously ill from a 'flesh-eating' bacterium and was admitted into the hospital last Friday. He was a shidoin in the British Aikido Federation. My condolenses go out to his friends, family, and loved ones.

Wendy, John's wife, has asked that people not phone get at the moment, because she is finding talking to people too difficult for now. Cards and messages of condolence can be sent to:

Hawkesbury House

Skinners Hill

Camerton

Bath

BA2 0PX

It is likely that a funeral will be held the week after next and anyone who knew John will be welcome. Details will be made available when the arrangements have been made.
