Meet me in Tokyo and I'll shout you that beer.

Wait... are you already there? ...

Thought it'd be nice to catch up with some of you folk, giving advanced warning so people who've wanted to go can get some plans into action.

Ah, I see what you mean now. Well, I'm already here, so it's easy for me.

Re: Trip to Hombu!!

Wish I could meet you guys there. Been to Japan four times, but alas no time for hombu dojo so far. Hope to mend that in december, if all pieces fall in the right places.

I am however considering going to Australia with my family next year, so Lin: maybe I could join you in your dojo for a couple of hours of aikido then? (and a beer of course)

Have a great trip

JJ

PS: If you need a place to stay I highly recommend Kimi Ryokan in Ikebukuro. It's cheap, clean, quiet and the owner is doing Aikido as well.

(Hmmm, maybe tuck all the pieces back into the box and shake really hard? Probability tells me that if it hasn't worked yet it's got a better chance of working in the future!! )

Visiting sounds brilliant! Our details are on facebook.com/AikidoTerreyHills . Hey, shout out if you need a hand with accommodation or the like.

Would you believe me if I said visitors get to wear the Mighty Paisley Hakama of Welcome?

Migh't take you up on that one, though we do have familiy around Brisbane, it's never a bad idea having other connections in a strange country...

Re: Trip to Hombu!!

This is crazy. Due to forces beyond my control, I have to leave Japan. I guess I won't be seeing you at Honbu after all.

Re: Trip to Hombu!!

Hi Selin

I am going to be in Tokyo for all of January. I usually go to Doshu's class every morning when I am there, (except Sunday) so if you feel like it, let's train and maybe get some coffee afterwards.

Re: Trip to Hombu!!

So. Back to it.

I got my course acceptance letter! Which means I'll be in Tokyo for the month of February plus a day or two on either side. Peter, still around? Anyone else too? I think I touch down on Jan 30, staying in Shinjuku.

I'll be in Tokyo from 30 Jan to 2 March. Spot me at Hombu and say hi; I'll be the girl with long brown hair and an impish grin.
