Re: Reconciliation in Aikido?

Always interesting Peter.

As an aside reconciliation is rarely a mutual endeavor - compromise tends to be particularly one sided. When it does happen the degree of perceived separation (either side) was really not that large.

Re: Reconciliation in Aikido?

forget about reconciliation. do you get together with the local aikido dojos for some friendship play time? in my state, for the past few years, we organized a statewide aikido friendship seminar. quite a few different organizations/dojos participate. we had lots of fun. https://www.facebook.com/events/365805976833606/

spun out of that, the ladies decided to have women only seminar, last year. all the men got all pouty and revolted and asked to join (some of us are very deeply in touch with our femine side). so this year, actually, this coming weekend, we, the men, are allowed to join the ladies in the seminar where only women instructors. we are ok with that. we got our skirts ready to go. question, does shaving legs make aikido better, at least suwari stuffs, i.e. glide better?

Phi, you know, sometimes if you don't get a thing, you should just NOT GET A THING, and quietly leave it at that.
