Ukemi: Can we accept our failings?

Ukemi: Can we accept our failings?

Ukemi is the term designated in the Japanese martial arts to define or name the set of different techniques and fall safely without injury, either in combat, after a key, a release, defense or attack, levers and more.

These techniques should be mastered by the practitioners of the martial art to take care of their physical integrity, thus preventing injuries they may suffer. Thus, we do fall forward, backward, sideways, rotating, etc..

More deeply the concept of Ukemi, however, must be better understood. Consider then the following:

1.The Uke or person is released during practice who must rely on throws and holds the same time.
2.La person should break down, cushioning the impact is going to receive the body in the fall, through his hands hit the floor (tatami) before the body makes contact with the surface.
3.Relax once we are launched or projected, it is extremely important, otherwise the impact of the fall to be tension is risky and can cause serious injury: is like falling down tight on pavement from a medium or a second floor .
Our life is much like Ukemi: fall when we least expect, here are some examples: lack of faith doubts, despair, heartbreak, depression, greed, sloth, envy, anger, malice, and so on. And our mind begins, then, to have preconceived ideas when we judge people first inning. We point out its flaws, or else, we are disappointed with ourselves internally. Falling then, is like sin, but just fell away from God's Own-account is a personal decision to exile.

When we are then, because we are not prepared, we received a strong impact on our heart, because we think the snare is broken, that God no longer accepts us and gives us, and we fill our minds with garbage, and we say: I do not deserve anything because I'm bad, or God will not forgive me, or are just the perfect blessing, or God can not use me because I have no gifts or abilities ... And we poisoned and poison us with our thoughts.

You think you've fallen, you are not perfect and that God can not help you, you think just happened? Well, if you read the Bible you will notice that Noah got drunk, Abraham was old, Jacob was a liar Leah was ugly, Moses was a stutterer, Gideon was afraid, Samson womanizer, Job was bankrupt, King David was adulterer and murderer, Peter denied Christ and the disciples forsook his master, and so other cases will tell. And if you think I am perfect ... Pensalo again. And even with all faults, errors and falls, the Lord saved us and lifted us and helped us all.

So what are you waiting for? If you fell or fast Pedilan sinned God's forgiveness, inviting Jesus into your heart to live in you and your mistakes amended.

Being Christian does not assures you that you will not fall, but I assure you that we advocate with God and a God who lifts us up, cleanses and helps us to amend our mistakes. It makes us grow and leads to success. The Apostle Paul in Romans 8:28

"All together for good to them that love God, that is those who according to His purpose are called"

First you need to seek God (we have the open door of the Holy of Holies through Jesus), then everything will be better in your life gradually.

A good father helps his son when approaching or when you are looking for. And when starting to walk shakes his hand. Although the child thinks he is alone, his father is always with him, watching their steps. Thus, although we feel it or see what God is with you, waiting, just look for it, talk to him, stretching out your hands so that he can take and hold you, and walked out of his hand and with his guidance.

In Isaiah 41:10 we read "Fear not for I am with you, do not be dismayed for I am thy God: I will strengthen you and help you: I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."

That is a promise of God, so do not blame yourself if you fell. I no longer try to get up with your own strength or your own wisdom: through Jesus and were forgiven, what happened happened, the important thing is to stand with the help of God who strengthens us. He is just waiting to be sought to help and bless you.

Do not hesitate to seek.

The Lord bless you

A hug

Fall seven times, stand up eight
Everytime we do ukemis or we fall and stand up again we are growing and maturing, so it is a good thing. Keep falling to stand up again in Aikido and in life..
