Hello, all!
A long time ago in another thread, I had some questions regarding the 5th kyu testing. In the course of that thread, a few people asked me to post the results once I took my 5th kyu test.
Well, I took the test today; I'm very pleased to say I passed! (Yahoo!)
The test itself was easy; though my nerves got in the way once or twice. Just personally, I was a bit disappointed in my performance - I made some mistakes I haven't made in a while; that was nerves, plain and simple. (No worries on my own self-critique - I've NEVER been wholly satisfied with my results, no matter the subject. I've always been my own hardest critic.) Still, my examiners gave a very complimentary review afterward; much thanx goes to my instructors, who made sure I was ready for the 4th-kyu test. The wisdom of that was apparent right from the outset; it really showed itself here - at one point, the examiners threw a curve at me - had I only practiced to 5th kyu, it is unlikely Id've caught it.
Anyway, the first step in a long road has been taken; be it ever so humble I'm going to enjoy my success and start preparing for the second.
