if your enemy hungers, feed him
if he needs cloths, cloth him
in doing this you are piling burning coals on his head.

Why are the instructors given the Japanese title of Soke? No offense, but I thought the term Soke was typically reserved for the heads of traditional Japanese ryu.

Also, can you share with us the name of the aikido instructor(s), and their training background and qualifications? Thank you.

And why are they wearing shoes while training in aikido?

Soke Michael Kleppin-

Soke of Nintai Fukutsu Ryu Kobujutsu

Soke Art Beier-

Soke of Shin Ken Ki Yawara Jutsu

Read more about Soke Kleppin.-http://www.kobudokan.net/Kleppin_Soke_Bio.shtml

Read more about Professor Beier in I ssue 4 of Ichiban Dojo Nyusu- http://www.kobudokan.net/newsletter/issue4/

The shoes where so no one would get their toe stubbed on the mat. They were wrestling shoes. Now we dont wear shoes, although i kind of liked them (helped prevent athleat's foot).

Who are the aikido teachers? I couldn't figure that out from the website, nor whether there was any aikido affiliation. Could you link me to the place where it can be found on your site?

Thanks,

http://www.kobudokan.net/instructors.shtml

all the teachers teach Aikido, exept prof. Visel because he had to move away.

also, if you scrole down to the bottom of the home page, you will see that we are affiliated with the International Society of Headfounders/Headfamilies.

Just so you know, all the information i have mentioned so far (besides Prof. Visel moving) has been on the websight all along, but i appreciate your concern.

thank you.

Mallory,

You'd serve your interests by doing some research on your organization and instructors' lineages.

Try http://www.e-budo.com/ and http://www.aikidojournal.com/ .

Keep an open mind and thick skin.

Regards,

Greg Jennings

Mallory,

I was at that page, but nowhere does it say what their lineage is, and what their qualifications are to teach aikido-that was what I was looking for. Typically aikido teachers state who their teachers were, and who their teacher's teachers were, and what their affiliation is, who gives them grading authority; how long they've been practicing, etc. Just cant find this information and am curious....
