9th Dan Celebration - Kimeda Takeshi Sensei (March 6-7, 2009 - Toronto, Canada)

I would like to announce this celebration to the aikiweb community:

In November 2008, Shioda Soke, head of the Yoshinkan, promoted Kimeda Sensei to the rank of 9th Dan and in celebration of this achievement Aikido Yoshinkai Canada will be hosting a series of clinics and a reception on the weekend of March 6-7, 2009 in Toronto. Special guest instructors for the clinics are Morita Sensei (8th Dan) from San Francisco, CA, and Mustard Sensei (7th Dan) from Burnaby, BC.

My warmest, heart-felt congratulations go out to Kimeda Sensei. I am a jodo student in Pickering and have had the pleasure of training with Kimeda Sensei on numnerous occasions. He is one of my favourite people I have met on my journey in the martial arts. A true gentleman (thoug kinda scary when he gets going!). Enjoy the celebrations.
