Re: How many dogi do you have?

awesome! that makes sense...we carry two Tokon lines, the red and green. We didn't have any Red (Europa) in, so I had Sensei order it. Thanks for the clarification though!

4 double weave, 2 single weave, and 5 karate

Train well,

Re: How many dogi do you have?

3 set and looking for that 4th set.

1 Bujin 12 oz. canvas
2 Tozandos (1 Deluxe Standard and 1 Super Soft)

Now I am checking on AOI Premium and the Aiki Japan Competition dogi for my 4th set . I think I will go with the Aiki Japan Competition set. May be placing an order tomorrow.

Cheers

Re: How many dogi do you have?

8

I always come back to Iwata - I have 2.

I also like the Adidas competition weight gi.

The next one I'm planning to get is from http://www.fushida.ca/judo-gis-uniforms.php I saw a friend wearing. It's a strong heavy gi from Canada (and I don't get anything for recommending them!).

And the one I'd like to get after that is one of Janet Rosen's hemp ones!

Re: How many dogi do you have?

By the way I was in Iwata a few days ago (in Shin-Okubo near Shinjuku in Tokyo) and I saw they accept paypal for overseas orders.

Re: How many dogi do you have?

I only have one.

About a two years ago I got burned out working as a manager in a group home for the developmentally disabled and I went to work in a kitchen. I met a person there that became a good friend of min almost instantly. He gave a me a copy of The Art of Peace and his one and only dogi. Due to my current schedule at school I can't go to my dojo this semester, so I've taken up Iaido. Very soon I'll have another gi and a hakama too! How exciting.

Let silence be my mantra.

How do you like the Super Soft Tozando gi? Do you like it better than the Deluxe Standard?

How do you like the super soft one? I was thinking that may be my next one, but I may try another one from Tozando. Let me know about AOI too please if you end up getting one. I always browse their site, but have yet to buy anything.

Re: How many dogi do you have?

@ Scott, Yes, by far the supersoft is my favorite at this time next to the deluxe. I think the deluxe and the supersoft were made of the same fabric, but the softening process that they did on the supersoft it's what made it softer in comparison to the deluxe. The deluxe is softer enough to train with and I like it very much also.

@ Ashley, I decided to order the AikiJapan competition dogi. It's a lighweight doubleweaved jacket for $108 and if you want the pants/obi set for an extra $26 for the total of $134/dogi set. Price and quality very hard to beat.

Re: How many dogi do you have?

I have one heavier judo-style gi that serves as my standard gi. I have a lighter karate-style gi that I use as a backup when the other is dirty and I don't have time to wash it.
