Grading

Not sure if this should be on the Testing board instead, but anyway... my first grading's on this coming Sunday, for 5th kyu. My knee's healed up, so I can do pins and suwari waza like normal, so... providing I don't do something stupid, I'll hopefully go fine. Nonetheless - wish me luck! ;p

Suwari waza?

You guys do Suwari waza for 5th kyu? How many kyu ranks to you guys have? In the system I'm in, suwari waza isn't part of testing untill nidan or sandan.

DAVE

If you're working too hard, you're doing it wrong.

Our kyu ranks go from 5th to 1st. Suwari waza kokyu ho is the last technique done for all kyu grades. Normal suwari waza techniques start at the 3rd kyu grading.

Well, I passed, as did everyone else from the dojo with their tests . Thanks for the messages. Seemed to go pretty quickly, which is almost a shame - I was wanting to do more techniques, even if I was nervous to the point of not breathing properly ;p.
