Re: Reading of Artist's Name
Well, here's as far as my research got me: The full text of the picture is
大正癸亥春仲 琴石生
The upper part of the text indicates the Taisho era (大正).
The explanation after this ー癸亥 (made according to the Chinese tradition) gives the year 1923; it is the twelfth year of Taisho.
The following characters also correspond to the Chinese calendar and are read as "February (Lunar Calendar) 春仲".
I've found an artist named 森琴石 - Mori Kinseki died in 1921. He was famous as a teacher. My guess, at this point, is that this signature was "a student of Kinseki"
