Craig Eddy (6th dan, Aikido of Missoula) Passes Away

AikiWeb is very saddened to hear that Craig Eddy (6th dan, Aikido of Missoula) passed away on Saturday, May 7. He started his aikido training with Mitsugi Saotome in Florida in 1975. He held multi-faceted careers as a cardiac surgeon, attorney, and hospital administrator as well as serving on the board of the Aikido Schools of Ueshiba.

I had the opportunity to meet Craig a number of times through my aikido career. He was a thoughtful, gentle man. My condolences go out to his family, friends, students, and loved ones.

Dear Jun, Never met this gentleman. It would appear that not only has the aikido fraternity lost a fellow aikidoka, it would suggest to me that Eddy Sensei and his career choices were such that he helped many people. The world is now short of a fine, compassionate man.I send my thoughts, sympathy and condolences to family , friends and fellow students.May he R.I.P
