Introducing....

Hi, I'm John.

I'm American, but I've lived in Norway for the last eight years. I've been training Tomiki for the last two years, and by some miracle have rolled and flung my way up to 4th kyu.
I'm a music educator as well as working musician; when I'm busy with gigs or student concerts, training goes from three times a week to two times a month - if I'm lucky. However, I find that I spend a great deal of time running Randori-no-kata in my head, and if I'm playing in a big hall, I think to myself, "If there were only some mats here, i could practice ukemi while I'm waiting for the sound check". In other words, I'm hooked.

Looking forward to being here!
