Tom Moss, at the annual Big Three Seminar held in Lowestoft was promoted to 6th dan in a special presentation made at the end of the seminar. Foster sensei (7th dan, Institute of Aikido) said that it was the first time this had ever happened to his knowledge in the UK's Aikido history. The grade was signed and authenticated by sensei's Haydn Foster, William Smith and Ken Cottier. The latter 2 instructors are hombu dojo recognised and Ken Cottier also holds shihan status.

Also present and teaching this year in addition to Haydn Foster,
William Smith and Tom Moss were two special guests - Htun Han sensei
and Osamu Obata sensei.

I just heard today, I have been to the Dojo to congratulate Tom in person. A harder worker in the promotion of Aikido you will never meet and a thoroughly nice man as well. I'm just sorry I couldn't be there to see his face.
Have fun.
