That poor Japanese student is Matsuoka Sensei - a wonderful teacher and great practitioner. He did a lot of the stunt work in Seagal Sensei's earlier movies as well, usually as the bad guy who got the stuffing iriminage'd out of him.

even if he was a poor student for getting bashed all the time, thats not as bad as it sounds you often learn shedloads of goodies when being uke for sensei.
