9th IAF Congress

The 9th IAF Congress will take place in Tokyo, Japan, in 2004.

Location:
National Olympic Youth Memorial Centre,
3-1 Yoyogi, Kamizono-cho,
Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, 151-0052, Japan.

Dates:
7 - 12 September, 2004

Training Course:
An aikido training course will take place parallel to the Congress sessions. The classes will be conducted by high-ranking shihans from the Aikikai Hombu and will be completely open. Participation is not restricted to members of IAF-affiliated aikido organizations. There will be 16 classes in all, spread over the four days from September 8th to 11th. Some accommodation is available at the Memorial Centre

On the final day, there will be an aikido demonstration in the morning and a farewell party in the afternoon.

The seminar at the 8th Congress was very successful, with around 1,000 participants. This time we have booked a larger dojo, so there will be more space. I hope some AikiWeb members will be able to take a trip to Japan and do some training. We might even be able to meet up.

Information will be posted on the IAF's own web site (www.aikido-international.org) where I can be contacted for further information.

Best regards to all,

Peter A Goldsbury,
IAF Chairman
