Hello all, good to be back in Aikiweb again.
I have a blogsite called "Deaf Aikido" at
http://deafaikido.blogspot.com. So far I have three contributors to help with the blogging on issues relating to Aikido, deafness, and Aikido students who are deaf or hard of hearing when communication is concerned. Or a place to get together and meet other deaf and hard of hearing Aikido students. If you would like to join and be a contributor, contact me (McConnell). We have a 4th dan (deaf), 6th kyu (deaf), and a 2nd kyu (hard of hearing) aikido practitioners who are now currently contributors for the Deaf Aikido blogsite.
I hope to meet more deaf and hard of hearing Aikido students, or instructors who know sign language to come and visit Deaf Aikido.
But I do have a question, do you have a deaf or hard of hearing Aikido student in your dojo that you practice with, and how have you gotten along with that student? Or from your perception, how has the deaf/hard of hearing Aikido student seem to be getting along with the rest of you?
