Greetings from Macedonia

Hello, my name is Zlatko and I come from Skopje, Macedonia.
I train aikido in Aikido Club hoshi in Skopje (www.aikidohoshi.mk) and must say it is one of the best martial arts that i have trained.
My father is retired officer and he is very advanced in war combats and close encounters (boxing, judo, karate, kick-boxing, wrestling and Russian Systema). As kid I trained with him and the soldiers in the barracks. The reason why I started to train Aikido is mainly because of its spiritual and philosophical aspects. I have heard many stories that Aikido isn`t strong enough, not effective etc. I must admit that after years of practicing hard and strong M.Arts, I thought the same too. The first class I was convinced that Aikido is very strong and very effective self-defense method.
