YouTube: Yoko Okamoto at 53rd All Japan Aikido Demonstration

Here is a video of Yoko Okamoto (6th dan, Aikido Kyoto) demonstrating at the 53rd All Japan Aikido Demonstration in Tokyo, Japan in May, 2015.

From the Aikido Kyoto website:

Quote:
Yoko Okamoto: Started Aikido at Aikikai Honbu Dojo; the world headquarter in 1978 with late Doshu Kissyomaru Ueshiba, then continued in France (1979-1981) with Christian Tissier Shihan. Upon returning to Japan, continued training with shihans in Honbu dojo following mainly late Seigo Yamaguchi Shihan, and I. Shibata Shihan (Current Berkley Aikikai Dojo-cho). Established Portland Aikikai in Portland Oregon, in 1991, assumed a role of dojo-cho (chief instructor) until her return to Japan in 2003. Started Aikido Kyoto in 2003 for development of Aikido in Japanese and international community in Kyoto.
She currently holds the rank of 6th dan.
What are your thoughts on this demonstration?

I love her Aikido! I feel this is one of the best vids I have seen of her technique. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tv7BTKQzn50

I guess she must be very good because of 6th Dan. But it doesn't look realist to me. The first guy for example, ok it's not a fight and he must telegraph his moves to be safe for both of them. But that attack - a diagonal karate chop, the same slow one each time. I don't think anyone really does that. Could she not do the same beautiful moves from a real attack?
Hehe but when she ducks at 1:14 that's a cool move. What is that called?
Thank you for posting.
