Nice fat bruise... ouch!

Yesterday we had a new shodan started practicing with us. He was quite good at a few techniques, he was also a very big guy, maybe 8 or 9 feet tall and about 800 pounds of pure gorilla muscle.

I almost never have trouble with Nikyo, even on big guys. But he clearly found some problems in my technique and demonstrated my flaws to me many times.

Now today I have a bruise that covers pretty much the entire back of my right hand, in the shape a big thumb. Hmm, now that I think of it, his thumb is about the size of my hand.

Ouchy!
