Yamoto gi?

Anyone ever own a Yamoto gi? I'm interested in the Light Double Layered Aikido gi....

Just got a Tozando gi and love it, but I'm on my annual gi search....

Re: Yamoto gi?

Hello Larry, You can check California S & P, Inc. for the Yamato (Sakura) brand as well as the Shori brand dogis. You can also save on the shipping as they are based in California. If you owned a pair of Tozando dogis then you know quality. I owned a Tozando Deluxe dogis and I will be staying with that brand forever. You can also check on the AOI dogi set as they also have the Iwata brand.

Goodluck with your dogi search.

Hi Rod - are you sure the Yamato Sakura gis are the same as the Yamato gis on the web site link I posted? They seem different, and have a different label.

I do love the Tozando gis.

Re: Yamoto gi?

I have an S&P Sakura unbleached gi. I would say the quality is so-so. I can't speak of the specific one that was mentioned above, but it could be better quality then the gi I currently have. Then again, I've had the gi for almost a year and train 4 days a week... so maybe it isn't so bad after all.
