Aikido blog to keep me motivated

Hello all,

I have been doing aikido on and off since 2001. There have been big off parts due to studies and it is not so great at the moment as I have a young family and am a nurse so shift work is killing me for training times.

Last night I did my second kyo grading. I got it but I felt like I did not do very well, my brain just sort of went blank and I needed prompting from my teacher.

So my plan is to do more reading, video watching and general solo movement and thinking aikido as I can only get in about one session a week at the moment.

Right where is my bokken?

Just read the article "honest training." I found it very informative and discovered I was the thief more than I realised. More squashing the ego I think.

Very good article, I have definitely been one of those people once or twice and am still today working on my ego.

Regards
