Voices of Experience Meta-Discussion

Hello to the members of the Voices of Experience forum,

It's been a long while since this forum has been used, so I wanted to put up a suggestion for its members (those of you who have more than twenty years of active aikido experience as outlined in this thread).

How would you feel if I allowed the creation of threads by anyone? So, in other words, AikiWeb members would be able to start a thread here in the Voices of Experience forum but only those who are its members can post replies.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

-- Jun

Re: Voices of Experience Meta-Discussion

Jun,

I applaud the concept and the spirit of having the VOE section aspire to a higher level of accountability and respect. High, appropriate and consistent standards never seem to hurt the product of something valuable.

Having established the floor of experience and reputation of those who contribute, would it then be feasible to have this esteemed group of recognized leaders assist in the process by personally introducing individuals who have been vetted by them, and therefore "sponsor" and vouch for for those individuals, as they add their questions or concerns for the VOE panel to respond to? Just a thought.

Perhaps such posts may even take place in the form of a joint offering by teacher and student, enriching the potential for both the post and the responses. Another thought.

In Oneness,

francis y takahashi
