Nice picture! But, I'd imagine some folks might object to the terminalogy of "Babe" as sexist, even if it is appropriate....

Or maybe they'd ignore it as just being irrelevant? Like they would with "Aikido Stud"? I remember an old short story where it said there should be only 2 laws: (1.) Don't offend people (2.) Don't be offended too easily.

No wonder they got done.

I have always had a thing about a beautiful woman in hakama - Shrine maidens and Kyudo.

Bronson, I am highly offended! (Not really..)

Had a great time with Crapo Sensei in Minnesota last week. He is a wonderful instructor.

Thanks, I built him all by myself in my lab

In the future see if you can get him to do a class on what he calls "percussive blending". Most of the rest of the world would call them atemi or pressure point strikes. Very, um, fun...I guess, especially the one deep in the belly of the bicep. Ahhh, glorious all-consuming agony

Glad you had a good time, wish I could have been there.

Re: Aikido Babe ! ( Cartoon )

hey

well i'm happy many people found it amusing ... well i didn't mean to offend the aikido or anything ... it's just a caricature ... aikido's publicity is not as good as that of Karate or Kung Fu in our country so we try in our dojo to make some attractive cartoons and idea's to use them in public magazines or online to give people some hints to ask about the art ... nothing much

Peter Rehse : very nice artwork ... who made it ? ... u ?

I have no idea - its been kicking around for awhile. Wish I knew - they would have a fan.

And I really did like yours - great combination of Persian beauty and hakama.

I don't see why, as I use the term 'babe' when describing 'appealing to my eye" males.

Re: Aikido Babe ! ( Cartoon )

Well; beyond the other comments; it's excellent artwork, very nice to look at - both the composition and the subject matter of course. I've always admired good drawing since I'm so terrible at it even my smiley-faces look nervous.

Nice work, Jarah.

Really cool picture. I have no objections to the terms used.

If I could figure out how to upload! I get a window that asks for code instead of a 'browse" window. I have no idea what "enter text to be formatted " means!

Hi Steven,

that' s not quite how I pictured you, somehow I imagined you looked a little different......
