Ki Development Classes?

Has anyone taken any of these? What were your experiences?

I'm considering enrolling in one, because it seems like it would complement--but not interfere with--my regular aikido training.

This is the one I was looking at; I haven't attended any classes yet.

Any thoughts?

Peter:

Go check it out. Maida Sensei is amazing. I am sure you will enjoy it. I'm jealous you live close to that dojo.

e ya later

Maida Sensei is very good. Has been a direct student of Koichi Tohei Sensei and knows his stuff.

In terms of aikido he Is also quite capable of nailing you through the floor anytime he chooses to.

worth your time

Yup - when I first started; I was more than a little leery about all this ki-nonsense. I wanted technique, lots of defensive stuff, etc.
Boy was I wrong - ki development is to me personally an essential part of aikido training; what really makes aikido so effective.
And fun.

Answers are only easy when they're incomplete.

Almost as good as ice cream on a hot day.

Peter: Be sure to let us know how it goes. When are you starting?

Re: Ki Development Classes?

Thanks for the feedback; I will definitely enroll in the class.

Jill - The summer class is just ending, and I'm not sure if/when the Fall class starts, so that's what I'm trying to figure out. When I get into it, I'll post up some thoughts on here.
