Re: Aikido helps Aussie Cricketers

When did a shoulder check become Aikido?

Or am I missing something?

Must be hard falling on the pitch with no pants on though.

Larry

I posted this in the humour section and not technical as my thoughts were that it remotely resembled a rather crass attempt at irimi nage with a rather funny result.

Re: Aikido helps Aussie Cricketers

Hi there
I saw this on TV and thought it was a good Aikido move straight away. After all it is IRIMI that he's doin!!
It would've been good to know if the guy was any good at defending himself from weapons as the cricketer should've tried to knock his b*lls for a six!!!!!
