regional topics heading?

I am new to this web site and to the Aikdo community. I have been a member of an unrelated forum site that had a regional section (Northwest, Southeast, etc.). This was really handy in finding members and events in my specific area. As it stands now, there is no way for me to easily identify the members in my area who might be able to provide me with information about the dojos and senseis in my area, etc. It's just a thought. THANKS.

Hi Mark,

There is a space for indicating your "Location" and "Dojo" in your profile. I see you've entered your own location. If others wish to have such information publically available, they'll undoubtedly include that information in their profile (and also below their name in every post they make).

As far as events in your area, you can take a look at seminars by state in the United States in the seminars section of this website.

Also, if you are looking for a particular dojo in a region of the United States, the dojo search engine on this site will allow you to, say, list all dojo within 50 miles of Portland, Oregon. You might want to try that out.

Hope that helps,

-- Jun
