Unhappy Aikido in Canada

I am moving to British Columbia sometime soon, but I do not want to give up my Aikido. Does anyone know of any dojos in British Columbia or anywhere remotely nearby? I looked on Yahoo! and it seemed that there weren't any.

Thanx for reading!

Hi Cecile,

Try using the AikiWeb Dojo Search Engine on this very site to look for dojo in British Columbia. Just select "Canada: British Columbia" in the "State" field and you should find 13 dojo up there. Hopefully, one of them will be near you.

You train at North Bay Aikido? That's a great dojo. I always enjoyed training there with Linda sensei and Glen sensei.

Wow, I am such a putz! Thank you so much for showing me that!
Yes, I am training now at the North Bay Aikido dojo. Such a large dojo, and there are so many wonderful teachers. It's a great place.
Thanx again!

Rest assured aikido is alive and well in BC. There are many clubs in Vancouver including mine - Pacific Aikido Kensankai at Trout Lake. I also know of clubs in Victoria, Nelson, Kelowna and I am sure there are others. Mind you, BC is a big place so it depends whereabouts you are headed...
Hope to see you at PAK

Here's a link to the Canadian Aikido Federation dojo listing:

Good luck!
