New from New Zealand

Hi All.

'bout 10 years ago, I trained for about a year - then just stopped. I've always had an intention towards heading back to training, but I've always had a valid reason for not. Valid enough to make me feel justified.

Now, I've returned.

I've got my third training session tonight - and I'm already looking forward to it (despite the fact that the bumps and bruises are still present from the last one).

I'm training at Aikido Shinryukan Wellington

Outside of Aikido, I work in IT (Linux geek), I write in weblogs - my personal one and my gadgets weblog. Days I'm not training Aikido, I head to the gym - focusing on cardio and light weights, trying to get a bit smaller.

I live with my wonderfully encouraging fiance, and two cute but demanding kittens.

Hi Andrew
I'm at Shinryukan Hombu in Auckland. Welcome back! Where are you training in Wellington? I hope you're booked in for our visit from Doshu in March!!! Should be quite a gasshuku. Look forward to throwing you there.

Hi Michelle

Um.. I may be? This is the first I've heard of it, so I'll definitely need a bit of thinking and planning... and perhaps allocation of leave...

Is there a website for this sort of thing? The main NZ one doesn't seem to have much in the way of news and the like...

Looking forward to assisted flight training tonight
