Cool (YAAWNI)Yet Another AikiWeb Newbie Intro

YAAWNI : I'm new to AikiWeb, not new to Aikido -- I started practicing Aikido in 1986 in Milwaukee, WI. And I'm finally working up to getting Shodan, after all this time. Staying in one place for a number of years has not been possible for me, in this life -- so I've had a number of wonderful sensei: Mike Mamura (MAF), Brian Green (MAF), Maureen Browne (USAF-WR), and now Jeff Clayton (MAF) and Terry Leonard (MAF). I spent the longest stretch of my aiki-life in the Naperville, IL area, so I worked up to Ikkyu in the USAF-WR under Maureen Browne Sensei (and Okyuyama Sensei). Now, I'm working toward shodan in the Midwest Aikido Federation, as reconsitituted after the passing of Shihan Akira Tohei.

It's wonderful the way the regions and styles of Aikido have finally begun to cross-pollinate!
