"an agony of Chiba's lot"

Lol! Most of my Senseis / senior Sempai are ex-students of Chiba Sensei (amongst others)... Ken Cottier (a student of Chiba Sensei... and also of O Sensei, for that matter) especially tells many humourous stories about him and his exploits... Hmm... might write a few down in a new thread...

Let's just say, from what I've heard (If have never yet had the fortune to practice with him. I think I'd be relatively safe, because I'm a kyu grade and he doesn't know me) then this is a fair representation of Chiba Sensei's teaching style

Ha ha! Die-now-by-numbers! That's great. ^_^

Maybe a breakfall of Yoshokai students? Or an osu.

Bad puns, indeed.

Geese fly, so do we.

"Contusion of bokkens" reminded me of a guy I used to train with.

He was doing a bokken movement with our sensei, and he cracked sensei right on the head.

Problem was, he then started laughing. (He later said that he was thinking "oh cr@p, I've just sconed sensei", but the bonk! sound caused him to lose it.)

Bad move: for the next 10 munites, he had these black eyes piercing his skull & sensei's bokken finishing in his hair on every cut. Rather disconcerting, so he said.

A warm greeting of Nippon Kan?

An exhaustion of uchideshi?

A you're doing it all wrong of styles?

A cold shoulder of affiliations?

I better stop here while I'm still allowed in

any other dojos...

Aikido is the art of hitting an assailant with the planet.
