Koryu in Portland, OR?

Hello everyone,

My name is Will, Ive been posting around a couple different forums looking for instruction in koryu here in Portland OR. Specifically the sword, I know we have both Kendo and Iaido here in town but I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on what else there may be. Thanks.

Hello William,

You should contact Doug Walker here: SYR.PDX@comcast.net

He is a licensed instructor of Takamura ha Shindo Yoshin ryu and a damn nice guy.

For info on TSYR:

Re: Koryu in Portland, OR?

There are at least two Koryu dojos that I know of in Portland, OR, Takeuchi Ryu under Anthony Abry, and I personally teach Shindo Muso Ryu (Fukuoka) and Daito Ryu.

Life is choice.
