Greetings from Colorado

Greeting and Salutations

I am a student of Izawa Sensei and take classes in Lafayette Colorado, USA. I am relatively new to Aikido, starting around 5 years ago at the age of 46. My goal is to improve my health and flexibility. I would love to be active into my 80s.

Re: Greetings from Colorado

Thanks for the link Oisin.

In the summer of 2011 when I went to Japan to watch the 49th All Nippon Aikido Demonstration at the Budokan and train. I was VERY impressed with all the 70+ year old aikidokas. At Hombu dojo I took Doshu's class and my partner for one day was probably 70+ years old and at the end of the hour I was just dripping in sweat and exhausted and he appeared to be relaxed and fresh. Needless to say it was a humbling experience.
