Re: Because it Rocks (pretty guitar)

The Bohemian Rhapsody was amazing - sounds like it was written for classical guitar.

Technically, this isn't a guitar, but it is what I would play if I had the time and money - a theorbo lute.

On the second clip- anyone notice the "C" clamp used as a capo for a single or double string???

Good stuff Josh

Same idea of course a much lighter feel and a little more contemporary ...from your neck of the woods.

Two of my favorite gals. They are both very talented and well versed. I think they do a better Job than Jimmy and Robert! Listen for when the drums kick in at 3/4 of the way through. Real primitive counter rythm. Almost a Taiko like feel.

Actually, this one impressed the hell out of me -

I didn't know she could do that. There still isn't any replacement for John Bonham, but man, Robert Plant hasn't been able to sing like that in a few decades.

Since I was in the neighborhood and tis the season to be jolly, I find this a really sick cover of Stairway to Heaven, and Orion, and am not a guitar player. Enjoy.

Re: Because it Rocks (pretty guitar)

Stairway to heaven!!!!!!! When I hear people play that I shoot them so they don't breed anymore.
But if you want some serious talent from the modern creator of two hand guitar........one of my all time favorites. Stanely Jordan
Make sure you watch till he uses his hands to play two guitars at once
Enjoy

Wipe the drool off and listen to these.
For those who don't know: Jazz improv. is king on the guitar for difficulty, seconded by Bluegrass improv., everything else you just practice and perfect.

That was b,e,a, utiful! very smooth and not choopy at all- which you see with so much of the tapping work. Melodic too.

Gimlets gone...good night all!

Re: Because it Rocks (pretty guitar)

I am really impressed with what has been posted so far, I think music has a strong place in our psyche and society. The guitar being one of the most popular and versatile instrument shows how powerful it is on the psyche and society. Music has a great effect on the mind and our society that I think now goes unnoticed because music is so much part of our lives. A testament to that is this thread.
