Question Katate hiji dori - Is this how we call it?

Hi!

If uke is doing ai-hanmi katate dori (e.g. grabbing the left wrist of tori/nage with his own left hand) and adds a grab to the elbow with his second hand (means grabbing the left elbow of tori/nage with his right hand)... how would you name this? (...so it's not the simple morote dori...)

Thanks for your help!

Christian

You talking about Kata katatedori???

Not quite at the elbow though. More of a grab on the sleeve right above the elbow or on the shoulder.

I would probably call that ryo katate tori, if its what is in my head. Sode mochi is usually a sleave grasp, so maybe you could throw a 'sode' in there somewhere...or hiji. I guess it depends on how specific you want to be.

Re: Katate hiji dori - Is this how we call it?

the youtube e.g. is at-lease to closest i can find from youtube. or ryote hiji tori + technique i hope they post that kind of grasping attack + technique to apply with

even ushiro ryohijitori hmm maybe i`ll made just one for you! IMHO I think all of them are the same all applicable to technique, minor or major.
