Pre-war pictures of O Sensei/techniques....

I know that the book Budo has many early pictures of O Sensei doing techniques, what other ones do as well?

I used to have all the books but got rid of them a number of years ago and I can't remember which have the Noma dojo pics and others etc....

Budo is the one with Noma dojo pics.

What about the other books buy John Stevens - there are several - I forget if they have old photos as well....???

That's correct, several of John Stevens' books about aikido also contain pre-war photographs of O-Sensei.
The Noma Dojo photographs are so called because they were taken at the dojo established by Seiji Noma, the founder of Kodansha.
Some of the Noma Dojo photographs can also be seen in the Traditional Aikido series of books written by Morihiro Saito Sensei.

I find the series interesting in that they clearly reflect Daito ryu waza yet depending on what version of history you may be choosing to argue that day
a) They are not exactly executed the same
b) They may be being done exactly as he was taught-as everyone who trained with Takeda was doing some "version" of "something" that no one can pin down
c) He was already in a transition phase and removed several more damaging things, opting for control over damage

Just depends on your daily choice of argument- as you can "argue" all sides of the above.

Can anyone list Stevens' books and let me know which have the old pics and which don't? If someone wanted to take the time, I'd really appreciate it.

A listing of all John Stevens' books (about Aikido specifically) can be found here. Just about all of them have a certain amount of pictures, some older than others.
