Meiso ho is what in english would probably be called seated meditation. Together with several kokyu exercises (kokyu ho):
-It can help to build concentration
-It can improve the circulation of energy and the use of this energy in your body
-It can improve your posture (and therefor your overall health)
-It teaches you to be calm but focussed, even in restless and (potentialy) dangerous situations
-It can reduce stress and tension
-Help to develop proper breathing and awarness.

Hope this helps

Smile A big thank you

Thank you Erik for your assistance. My Sensei requires us to write a paper on subjects that he gives, that we submit one week prior to our actual test date. My test date is in the summer so I have plenty of time to get prepared. I will be going for my 2nd kyu. Again thnks for the info. Stay strong.
