Evil Eyes Jiu Jitsu

I might get into trouble but I thought this would be funny!

Re: Jiu Jitsu

How about this kind of "jitsu"? It's my personal favorite, but I'm ethnically biased.

Your Edmund Burke quote is quite similar to something I read in the Book of 5 Rings, something like the enlightened who do nothing to destroy evil are themselves part of the root of evil. Good book taught me alot of useful concepts.

Re: Jiu Jitsu

Now I'll have to ask why this isn't in either the ""Non-Aikido Martial Traditions" or "Humor" forums, since the thread title is "Jiu Jitsu" and the content has nothing to do with aikido.

This used to be deposited in Humor, but next I looked somehow it changed to open discussions. It was meant as a joke not a discussion.

Re: Jiu Jitsu

Hm. I'da thought that the Jiu-Jitsu thread title and non-aikido content would have landed it in the brand spankin' new "Non-Aikido Martial Traditions" forum for sure! Though "Humor" definitely sounds like the more reasonable forum for it. Go figure. [shrug]

Oh yes, if it were in the humor section I could translate Jiu-Jitsu with Jim breen's WWWJDIC service:

Jiu: 慈雨; 滋雨 【じう】 (n) welcome (beneficial) rain
Jitsu: 実 【じつ】... kindness

So Jiu-Jitsu would be the kindness of a welcome rain.

Unfortunately this is not the humor section. So please forget that silly nonsense. Jiu-Jitsu ist just an old transcription of something, which would be written in official romaji as Ju-Jutsu.

Cheers

Dirk (who is not really funny, but sometimes pretends to be)
