KAMI : I don't know but I believe Cannes is near Nice. If it is so, you must really look for MALCOM TIKI SHEWAN, Aikikai Rokudan and Deshi of Nobuyoshi Tamura Shihan. His address is :
L'AikiClub de Cannes
4, rue Felegara 06400 Cannes, France
E-Mail : 101733.1501@compuserve.com
I believe you couldn't find a better teacher.
Best regards and good keiko

Thumbs down Nobuyoshi Tamura Shihan

Yes dear,
The best of the best:

Nobuyoshi Tamura (8th Dan Aikikai Shihan) teaches in france:

24 Chemin des 4 Platanes
83470 St. Maximin, France

As well as I know, they don't have an e-mail address. Please write him in polite french and he may let you practice there. He teaches regulary every wednsday and thursday but he goes often to give seminars, so it is important to make sure he is there.

The dojo is about an hour from marseiles. at a small village called Bras (9 Km from St. Maximin).

Good luck. he is really fantastic.

Again I do not know how far this is from Nice, as the questioner asked for.
By the way, it's important to remember that the most famous sensei's dojo is not always the best place for training ocasionally. You'll probably train with some sempai, not with the master. Sometimes, it's better to look for a not so famous master that will be more acessible to you.

When is your friend going there?

http://www.ffab-aikido.fr/ will give you a list of Tamuras courses. At the end of August he has a course at la Colle sur Loup, 13 km from Nice.

http://gargas.biomedicale.univ-paris...cal/index.html will give you a list of aikido courses by a number of other teachers, including the above mentioned Tiki Shewan.

Aikido is awfully popular in France, it should be easy enough to find.

http://www.aikido.com.fr/- another French aikido group, the FFAAA. Has a dojo search engine, which gave me this in Nice

CENTRE TISSIER (Aïkido)
22 BIS BLVD STALINGRAD
06000 NICE
Téléphone : 04 93 89 78 73

Horaires :

Professeur : CHRISTIAN TISSIER 7° DAN

Section enfant

Correspondant :
CHRISTIAN TISSIER
LIEU DIT LE MERLE
83520 ROQUEBRUNE SUR ARGENS
