Hi.
In the Danish Aikikai Society a shodan will run you:
8.000 Yen (Membership)
10.000 Yen (registration)
2.000 Yen (test fee)
2.000 yen (Yudansha pass)
In all: 22.000 Yen - but it depends on your national association I guess.
I advise you plan for 'a little extra' to be at your disposal when the time comes. You probably need to buy a round, not to mention a black belt.
