Keep healthy i.e.:
- do regular light exercise (get into a habit i.e. 15 minutes EVERY morning)
- cut down on fats and eating before bed time
- get sufficient sleep
- eat sufficient fruit and vegetables

Also, due to our high dairy/wheat content diet our blood often becomes more alkaline, which is not optimal for our immune system. To compensate for these (if you can't bear to reduce them!) try apple cider vinegar from a health food store. A teaspoon a day should set you right within a week (I tried this a couple of years ago when I was ill for about 2 months and it worked really well). Of course, Vit C is also useful.

Cold and flu tablets are not good for your liver, and usually just treat the symptoms.
