Yes, feeling is important but when someone's head bounces off the mat and they don't get up right away and nage has to check them how can you say they were not injured or at least dazed. Minor insults to the brain are cumulative and generally with long term consequences. Ask some professional quarterbacks who bounce off the ground with helmets on.
