Hi Gary. Yes stewardship would be a good synonym if you like for the concept given. I use the word ownership purposely to show there is more to it and to shake up the misconceptions related to owning.
We all own this planet but don't know it or even believe it.
A message I believe Ueshiba tried to get across. Spiritually this is so very true and is something that needs to be realized in a deep sense for we are all one if you like.
So yes we are stewards in essence.
