I very much doubt it. At the first demonstration Mitsuteru Ueshiba did not wear a hakama and was probably still at high school. In fact we talked briefly about which university he would enter (definitely not one of the top national universities--far too difficult). Postwar Japan does not have a tradition of high school military cadets. Mitsuteru Ueshiba was very recently made Assistant Head of the Hombu Dojo (道場長補佐) and he has begin to teach beginners' classes.
